Job Overview:
Oak Medical Arts is seeking Pharmacists to join our community pharmacy team in Thunder Bay! We offer comprehensive support, progressive pharmacy practice, and a warm, welcoming environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for any pharmacist!
Key responsibilities include:
* Pharmacy and customer service
* All standard dispensing activities, including filling prescriptions, etc.
* Provide counselling on prescriptions, over the counter/behind the counter products
* Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed
* Communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care to provide customer care
* Conducting clinical services such as medication reviews and disease state management
* Developing and implementing care plans, with follow-up and documentation
* Administering vaccines
* Monitoring medication adherence
* Gathering and documenting pertinent patient, drug, and disease information
* Providing recommendations on over-the-counter products and vitamins
* Addressing patient inquiries that require clinical expertise or assessment
* Supervising pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists
* Performing other duties as needed
Technical Skills:
* Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
* Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration
Education and Experience:
* Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
* Certification in Injection for Drug Administration
