(18) $47.98 Job Category : Psychology and social services professional (HRO, psychologist, social worker, psychoeducator, community org, reviewer, etc.) Posting End Date : 2024-05-17 Description : Person who is responsible for the Multi-Service Day Centre Program and other initiatives related to Allied Health services with a view to providing professional assistance for the development of services. She/he conducts research activities that are necessary for identifying and assessing needs and resources. She/he designs and proposes development plans and programs in order to ensure adequate service planning. She/he provides advice concerning the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. She/he may participate in various teaching or training activities. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS She/he may lead or support different levels of planning (strategic, tactical and operational) and participates in capacity building and support to the staff of the MSDC?s. He/she shall organize training for the partners in the milieu, as needed. He/she will also be in charge of generating and supporting joint dialogue among all the partners by forwarding clear and precise information, generate a fair and informed understanding of the needs and implement additional joint dialogue means. She/he supports the development and implementation of services quality assurance within an allied health context. Education: ?University degree in health sciences, human sciences or social sciences, or any other pertinent disciplines; ?Licensing in an allied health professional order in Quebec is a strong asset. Experience: ?Minimum of three (3) years of experience relevant to the responsibilities of the job. Knowledge and Abilities: ?Good knowledge of MSSS legislation, regulations, the Ministry network and programs, and current trends; ?Demonstrated experience in organizational strategic and tactical planning, program planning and evaluation; ?Extensive knowledge of planning and evaluation methods; ?Good knowledge of continuum of services, multi disciplinary teams and community based health interventions; ?Knowledge of First Nations health/social service models, trends and issues is an asset; ?Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset; ?Strong record in a similar type of planning, programming and evaluation environment; ?Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, and decision-making skills; ?Ability to work in collaboration with all colleagues and decision-making skills; ?Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership and teamwork skills; ?Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation. LANGUAGE ?Fluent in English; ?Fluency in Cree and in French is an asset. No housing provided for this position.
