Position: Project Accountant

*Position Overview:*
The Project Accountant role, reporting to the Operations Controller, is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to hold a key role on the Finance team at LMS. An individual with a strong sense of urgency and accountability will thrive in this dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
*Responsibilities:*
The candidate will be responsible for monthly and ad-hoc reporting and analysis of all job-related revenues and costs. Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Job cost analysis (review revenue and costs for any accruals or deferrals needed)
· Track jobs with overshipments and communicate issues to operations team for action
· Identify potential change orders to be issued and follow up to ensure investigation by the projects team
· Analyze and report labour costs against budget and investigate any issues
· Maintain Requested Change Order summary and RCO exposure report
· Billing and contract management for unit rate contracts
· Billing review to ensure accuracy and completeness for both contract and counter/retail sales
· Review of new job setups in ERP software and ensure contract information is accurately reflected
· Prepare revenue projection report for senior management
· Report shipped weight by detailer
· Track and maintain large volume of subcontractor accruals
· Review and approval of job-related accounts payable invoices
· Prepare deferred/unbilled revenue schedule, ensuring the work-on-hand calculation is accurate
· Prepare and reconcile weight shipped reporting
· Year-end and interim audit sample preparation and assisting to investigate auditor queries
· Perform miscellaneous corporate tasks as needed
· Prepare non-weight budget vs actual analysis
*Experience:*
* 3 years of construction industry project accounting experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
