Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) <p>Temporary Position 10 Month <p>Salary: <p>Start Date: <p>Work Location: Various locations <p>Reporting to the Manager Behaviour Analytic Services, the incumbent will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides support and professional development to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians with respect to Applied Behaviour Analysistic (ABA) practice, behavioural support strategies, functional behaviour assessments, behaviour support plans, and/or safe intervention plans. <p>Duties include but are not limited to: Support and coach school teams in conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans. May also complete functional behavior assessments. <p> Develop and support the implementation of comprehensive intervention plans for students ranging from preschool to high school; with a spectrum of behaviours who have been either identified or unidentified. <p> Develop appropriate data collection techniques. <p> Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary team, including staff, parents/guardians, and/or community agencies. <p> Develop and facilitate professional development to educators in the school regarding the use and application of applied behaviour analysis strategies in the classroom.<p> Collect, summarize and analyze data related to the implementation of strategies, behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans that may be communicated to internal and external stakeholders. <p> Model appropriate behavioural strategies for school-based staff. Qualifications: <p> Masters Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Applied Disability Studies, or Developmental Disabilities <p> Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA); Include certification number <p> Candidates who are currently enrolled in a Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Verified Course Sequence and collecting supervised experience hours from a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) may be considered (include information on number of supervised hours collected)<p> Maintain certification with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BCBA)<p> Minimum two (2) years experience designing and implementing applied behaviour analysis programs for children and youth with challenging or at risk behaviour <p> Demonstrated expertise in the development and delivery of professional development, including coaching and mentoring Proven ability to function both independently and collaboratively within a team <p> Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders <p> Exceptional organization, initiative and time management skills <p> Knowledge and experience in implementing positive behaviour strategies and supports <p> Demonstrated practical experience in the field of behavior analysis <p> Experience in a school board environment is preferred <p> A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle <p> Other duties as assigned Employment Equity Statement <p>Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) is committed to building inclusive learning and working environments where students see themselves reflected in the curriculum, staff population, physical surroundings and the broader community.<p>HWDSBs mission is to empower students to learn and grow to their full potential in a diverse world.
