Pacifica Piling LP is an emerging leader in the supply of high grade steel to the energy sector and heavy civil industries. We are looking to add an Inventory Manager to our fantastic team to help with all areas of Purchasing, Receiving, Movement, Work-Orders, Inventory Accuracy, Cycle Counts. This position will report to the Controller, and be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported, and help to develop and maintain new inventory policies and procedures as we grow. Responsibilities:
* Support the cycle count and annual stock take process, ensuring variance reduction
* Conduct cycle counts throughout the year
* Ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions; escalate and resolve issues with cross functional teams
* Receive inventory into dual systems and double check that transfers have been done accurately
* Complete complicated workorders and oversee the standard ones
* Collaborate with supply planning and sales teams to optimize days-on-hand inventory(set min and max)
* Coordinate with plant and cross-functional teams to manage product disposal and update systems accurately
* Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and dead stock; execute strategies to minimize write-offs
Qualifications:
* Bachelor?s degree or College Diploma in business operations, logistics, mathematics, or related field preferred
* Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in inventory management
* Strong computer skills; experience with ERP systems is an asset
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
* Proven ability to develop vendor and customer relationships and negotiate effectively
* Project management experience involving multiple stakeholders
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Detail-oriented with a high level of attention to detail
Other Details:
* Occasional overtime required during year ends and bank audits
* Up to 10% travel to other facilities may be necessary
