This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain practical, hands-on sales experience within the rapidly growing machinery and material handling equipment industry. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Sales Intern your key responsibilities will include:Business Development: leverage sales skills for various lead generation and qualification projectsMarket Research: perform research to identify prospective clients and emerging market trendsClient Engagement: interact with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their unique requirements and to qualify their material handling equipment needsProduct Proficiency: develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to better understand potential customer needsSales Administration: support in compiling sales reports, drafting proposals, and creating presentations Required Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:Current enrollment in a business, marketing, or related degree programExceptional communication skills and interpersonal skillsA keen interest in working in sales, coupled with an eagerness to learn about the machinery and material handling equipment industryProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteA self-starter with a robust work ethic Learning OutcomesLeavitt Machinery is proud to offer valuable learning opportunities and outcomes for our Interns:Acquire practical sales experience at a dynamic and growing companyDevelop critical professional competencies and skills, including communication skills, relationship building skills, negotiation skills, and sales strategy formulation techniquesEstablish a network of valuable contacts and peers within the industry The base pay for this role is: $18 per hour.This is an onsite role based in Langley, British Columbia.Leavitt Machinery & Venturis would like to thank all applicants for their interest, however; only qualified applicants will be contacted by Talent Acquisition for an interview.
