The District of Logan Lake is looking to fill the position of Equipment Operator III (CUPE Local 900). Reporting to the Working Foreman, the Equipment Operator III is responsible for general duties assigned in the Public Works Department including manual labor and equipment operation. Work will involve assisting in all facets of the Public Works Department, including road and sidewalk maintenance, fence line repairs, parks maintenance, water and sewer system maintenance and other duties assigned.Job Qualifications:Grade XII or equivalent. General Knowledge in use of power tools and equipment. Experience and proficiency in all facets of municipal operations. Class 5 BC Drivers License with air brake endorsement.Job Duties Include:Operation of Class III equipment. Assisting with construction projects. Maintaining roads, sidewalks and parking lots, including road patching, sidewalk repair and snow removal. Maintaining parks including grass cutting, weed control, irrigation system repair and equipment maintenance. Assisting with water system operation including water line repair, hydrant maintenance, service locates, water shut offs and turn ons, meter readings, etc. Maintaining sewer and storm systems, including, catch basin cleaning and repair, manhole cleaning and repair and sewer and storm line cleaning and repair. General facility and equipment cleanup. Other duties as from time to time prescribed.The wage rate for this position is $35.76 an hour as per the 2024 CUPE Salary Grid.
