PLAY ON WORDS: Speech & Language Services is based in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Our speech language pathologists provide a full spectrum of communication services to clients in our community. Our philosophy is focused on serving others with excellence, honesty and integrity in all that we do. PLAY ON WORDS requires 2 speech language pathologists (full and/or part time positions are available) to provide a range of services for pre-school and school aged children, staff and parents. The successful candidate will build capacity by working in collaboration with teachers, service providers, educational assistants, speech language pathologist assistants and parents to develop, implement and support the achievement of Individual Program Plans for identified children. Requirements: * Master?s Degree in Speech Language Pathology * Child Welfare Information Services Check and Criminal Records Check * Valid Alberta driver?s license and vehicle for travel to sites * Able to supply own materials including computer, assessment tools, therapy materials, etc. * The successful applicant must be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). The following attributes are necessary: strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the proven ability to organize an effective work schedule and problem solve, work independently in a team environment while meeting program requirements, consult and collaborate with team members, and support universal, targeted and individualized services within designated settings. Familiarity with the philosophy of inclusive education and meeting goals through play-based activities will be considered assets. Position to commence on August 29, 2017 and conclude on June 29, 2018 with the possibility of extending the contract should both parties agree. Resumes, including references, are invited.
