Our management team has many years of experience, and the new Plant Manager will provide exemplary leadership across key departments. The Plant manager will report to the Company?s COO and will oversee Production.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and decision-making skills. He/she will be motivational, innovative and entrepreneurial, with a strong understanding of people management and operational target setting.
*About You*
· Excellent leadership, motivational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team, facilitate effective meetings, and achieve success for multiple stakeholders
· Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement
· Strong operational background with an understanding of engineering design and LEAN principles
· The ability to dig into the details to help troubleshoot and resolve issues
*Responsibilities*
· Develop, oversee and enforce processes across all production departments
· Plan, coordinate, direct, and operate optimal day-today operations to meet customers? expectations
· Increase output, asset capacity, and adaptability while reducing waste and maintaining quality standards
· Establish and monitor continuous improvement initiatives on KPIs for cross-functional/multi-disciplinary teams
· Support product design and development efforts to ensure success from concept to production
*Minimum Experience and Education*
* 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in the woodworking industry
* Experience in implementing LEAN principles and in change management
* Bachelor?s degree in relevant technical field (e.g. Civil, Structural, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, preferred
* Experience in a woodworking and/or millwork business would be beneficial
