We are a well-established highly reputable company that provides cost effective professional service for engineered bid and spec projects and design-build mechanical solutions that focus on fulfilling the building construction needs of developers, municipalities, and industrial commercial companies *Position Overview* We are seeking an experienced *Sheet Metal Foreman/Woman* to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful *Sheet Metal Foreman/Woman* will be able to look after small to medium size projects and perform the necessary duties including but not limited to installation of HVAC systems from start to finish, able to run manpower, maintain a positive attitude, supervise and teach apprentices the trade. *Duties and Responsibilities* Skills to determine and mark sheet metal according to template Operate metal working machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematic drawings Set up power equipment, cut materials using power tools or by hand Measure and mark sheet metal according to template Ability to work in an organized environment and effectively communicate within a positive team environment Good communication/interpersonal skills Supervise workers and projects Train and arrange for training Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Reserve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity *Education and Experience* 5 years of sheet metal experience *Qualifications* Writing, oral communication, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing. Team player, motivated and detail orientated Certificate of completion of a vocational school in a certified Sheet Metal apprenticeship program 5 Years institutional Sheet Metal 5 years commercial construction Sheet Metal Gas license not required, but would be an asset Valid driver's license, WAH, WHIMIS, MOL 5 Steps, AODA, 1st Aid & CPR Willingness to observe safety precautions for protections against accidents Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract) Please note that a valid Ontario Driver's License is required.
