In this role you will:</b></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span><span>Translate from English to French bank-related content (job aids, manuals and process guides, FAQs, and other communications) for branch employees in an online editing platform. </span>Ensure that the style is clear, the message from the original English text is conveyed into French, and deadlines are met.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Make optimal use of translation software to ensure consistency within documents and increase efficiency. </span></span></li><li><span><span>If required, contact the requestor to obtain further information regarding the request. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Conduct the necessary research to justify the use of terminology specific to certain texts and contribute to the department?s terminology database on a continuous basis.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Provide high-quality services to partners by meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements. </span></span></li><li><span><span>Consult with other members of the department regarding terminology, work with colleagues on projects with tight deadlines and, in general, contribute to maintaining a harmonious work environment. </span></span></li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><span><span><b>This position requires the following skills and experience:</b></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span>Minimum 5 years of experience as a translator </span></span></li><li><span><span>B.A. with specialization in English to French translation </span></span></li><li><span><span>Thorough knowledge of French and English </span></span></li><li><span><span>Attention to detail</span></span></li><li><span><span>Sound knowledge of bank products and services</span></span></li><li><span><span>Good knowledge of translation software and MS Office applications</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously</span></span></li><li><span><span>Member of OTTIAQ, an asset</span></span></li><li><span><span>Basic knowledge of HTML, an asset</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ability to work well independently and in a team environment</span></span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span><span><b>Some more information you might want to know.</b></span></span></p><ul><li><span><span>Accuracy and thoroughness (level 2) - Keep himself/herself accountable of work done, ensuring it is completed correctly, thoroughly and is of a high quality.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Customer focused (level 1) - Provide service meeting the ScotiaService standards.
