We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our PCC GTA Team as a Financial Analyst. As part of a team of two financial analysts, reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will have multi-site responsibility for the following;</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepares timely and comprehensive daily and weekly operational reports for site management including analysis of financial data.</li><li>Provide support to the Assistant Controller on the Capex spend, approval, monitoring and reporting related assets.</li><li>Responsible for the inventory reporting, excess and obsolete provisions <span class="long-word">calculation/analysis,</span> reconciliation to perpetual system and making necessary ledger adjustment.</li><li>Preparation of analysis for weekly and monthly inventory meetings with finance and operations.</li><li>Assist with the annual physical inventory counts and follow up with the variance analysis and shrink adjustments as required.</li><li>Preparation of relevant sections of the quarterly financial review report, including assisting in presentation of the report to corporate reviewers.</li><li>Sales and Gross Margin reporting and analysis, including part/work order level GM and cost analysis.</li><li>Prepare and enter month-end journal entries, such as accruals and regularly recurring monthly entries.</li><li>Preparation of monthly reconciliations as needed.</li><li>Tracking, forecasting, and analyzing variances in variable cost.</li><li>Assist with preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.</li><li>Track the current financial progress against their forecasts to make sure that the company is on track stated goals. Make adjustments to the forecasts and report any variances to senior management.</li><li>Assists management with negotiation and review of long-term agreements with customers.</li><li>Assist with financial and SOX audits with internal and external auditors as needed.</li><li>Maintaining a strong internal control environment and ensuring compliance with GAAP, PCC policies and SOX.</li><li>The duties and responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive and you may be expected to perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities should the need arise.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Experiences:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (CPA, CMA or CPA Designation or in the final stages of completion preferable).</li><li>Minimum 2 yrs. experience in a similar role, in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience in a multi-site environment is an asset.</li><li>Exceptional analytical abilities and understanding of accounting and finance issues in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong skills in MS Excel.</li><li>Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley is an asset and a track record of improving internal controls highly valued.</li><li>Ability to analyze financial data and working knowledge of profitability and variance analysis.</li><li>A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation vs. simple reporting.</li><li>Solid, overall business acumen and a strong mindset for continuous improvement.</li><li>Attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Work requires strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.</li><li>High energy level and the ability to work flexible hours.</li></ul><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>Precision Castparts Corp. is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
