Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.<p>We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed professional to join our team: <p>Continuing Education Assistant (International Languages Program)<p> 100% Regular<p>Monday - Friday, 35 Hours per Week, 12 Month Work Year<p>ESP Level 5: $40,552 to $51,804 Under the direction of the Program Manager and Principal of Continuing Education, the Continuing Education Assistant will provide administrative support to the International Languages (Elementary, Secondary and Summer) programs. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to, management of electronic records and files for students/staff; assisting with student registration and program planning; recording and verifying attendance records for program/contract staff; submitting timesheets for approval for all program staff; preparing bank deposits and reconciling statements; and general administrative support such as, filing, composing routine correspondence, and responding to inquiries. Qualifications Completion of a secondary school diploma and minimum of two years of related work experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. <p> Experience working in Continuing Education and knowledge of the International Languages Program is considered an asset. <p> Knowledge of relevant board policies and procedures, ONSIS reporting, administrative and accounting procedures, including OCDSB Admissions-Enrollment Guidelines; IILE student placement guidelines. <p> Knowledge of computer applications including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and databases, including Student Information System (Aspen), Google Applications, HRIS, Ontario eLearning Consortium (SSeS), Microsoft Suite, and the Boards financial systems; Continual upgrading of computer skills is required. <p> Accounting skills to maintain budget transactions. <p> Ability to operate standard office equipment, and administer public address system; <p> Interpersonal and communication (oral and written English) skills required to provide, exchange and clarify information, and respond accordingly to inquiries; <p> Ability to use tact and diplomacy when communicating information to the general public and Board personnel. <p> Ability to speak additional languages is an asset (Spanish preferred); <p> Initiative and judgement required to action routine or proceduralized matters. <p> Organization and time management skills are required to prioritize work and juggle multiple priorities. <p> Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team. <p> First Aid certification would be an asset.
