Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of a School Administrative Support III based out of Neerlandia Public Christian School. The successful candidate will begin June 3, 2024 until June 26, 2024, to begin training for the 2024-2025 school term. The successful candidate will then continue working on the progress they have made in the 2024-2025 school year which begins August 19, 2024.<p>The Division<p>Pembina Hills School Division provides education to approximately 3800 students in 15 community schools in north central Alberta. PHSD also provides education to over 10,000 students from within and beyond our borders, through our online school, Vista Virtual School. For more information on our remarkable Division, please visit our website at www.pembinahills.ca<p>The School Neerlandia Public Christian School<p>Neerlandia Public Christian School (NPCS) is a vibrant interdenominational K- 9 alternate school located in the community of Neerlandia. Neerlandia is a Hamlet located in the County of Barrhead, Alberta, approximately 140 km north-west of Edmonton. Neerlandia Public Christian School, where the motto is Learning to Serve, has approximately 28 teachers and support staff serving the needs of 245 students. It is supported in its Christian Mission through the Prairie Centre for Christian Education.<p>Neerlandia School Mission Statement:<p>Neerlandia Public Christian School will provide a Christ-centered education so that students are equipped to serve God joyfully in all areas of life.<p>The Position<p>The School Administrative Support position will support the Administration team and manage day-to-day operations of the school. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The position will be 8 hours/day following the school calendar.<p>Qualifications/Requirements: Self-motivated and efficient<p> Superior organizational skills<p> Handling detail with a high degree of accuracy<p> Possess excellent public relations and communication skills<p> Creative problem solver<p> Have strong writing, proofreading and editing skills<p> Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish priorities<p> Able to exercise a high degree of confidentiality<p> Able to work independently and to collaborate to provide team support <p> Ability to work in a high energy setting with changing priorities<p> Quick learner, willing to ask questions<p> Computer and technology skills in programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Acrobat, PASI, Genius SIS and PowerSchool<p> Experience working in a school setting<p> Experience with budgets, purchase orders, petty cash journals, statements and invoices<p> Post-secondary training in office administration is an asset<p>For further information, please contact:<p>Brett Seatter (Principal) at 780-674-5581<p>This competition closes: May 7, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.There are inherent risks in the work employees do throughout Pembina Hills School Division (PHSD).
