<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p> <p>Responsible for welding and fabricating various heavy equipment (Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Feller Bunchers, skidders, Cranes, Forklifts, and other machinery/ machinery components.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <ul> <li>Weld and fabricate a variety of heavy equipment (e.g., cranes and forklifts) and machinery components.</li> <li>Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.</li> <li>Perform welding repairs on equipment, as necessary.</li> <li>Fabricates brackets, mounts, and piping.</li> <li>Welds and repairs customer units as required.</li> <li>Read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.</li> <li>Cleans and performs minor repairs on welding equipment.</li> <li>Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.</li> <li>Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.</li> <li>Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.</li> <li>Comply with Wajax policies and procedures.</li> <li>Meet requirements of Job Hazard assessments.</li> <li>Maintain all required certifications.</li> <li>Hydraulic and mechanical experience an asset</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education: Welding Technician Certification, certified with Canadian Welders Bureau</li> <li>Work Experience: 1-2 years</li> <li>Mechanically inclined</li> <li>Knowledge: Ability to fabricate without drawings; additional certifications: Forklift Operator and Crane/Rigging; basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>The Company</strong></p> <p>Since 1858, Wajax has been a leading industrial products and solutions provider continually innovating to serve Canadian industry coast-to-coast.
