Job details
Michael Oehm Professional Corporation is a boutique law firm seeking a full-time Real Estate/Conveyancing Paralegal, with experience in residential purchase, sale, financing, and lending transactions. Please note this is an in-person position at our office in west Edmonton. There is no remote work option for this position.
Responsibilities:
* engaging in client communication including setting up appointments, answering client calls;
* organizing & corresponding with clients via email;
* preparing and drafting documents, including purchase documents, sale documents, financing documents, and lender?s materials
* preparation of billings and accounts using legal software;
* preparing, reviewing and proofreading documents; and
* Managing files from initial searches to conclusion
Skills:
* Strong organizational skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Critical thinker with an ability to research, problem solve and take initiative;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written);
* Have excellent attention to detail;
* Have strong organizational skills; and
* Have experience working with the following programs Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, and legal software such as PC Law or Soluno.
Education and Qualifications:
* Related post-secondary training (for example, legal assistant or office administration) is a bonus.
* At least 4 years of experience as a residential real estate/conveyancing paralegal is required.
