*Translator (Summer Internship)* Do you have a passion for languages and a keen interest in arts and culture? We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Translator for the Pancouver project. *Position Overview:* As a Translator, you'll play a crucial role in bridging language barriers and facilitating intercultural understanding through the 2024 Pancouver Print Edition - the TAIWANfest issue. This extension of the online Pancouver initiative by the Society of We Are Canadians Too aims to deepen appreciation for visual and performing arts while highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of local artists inspired by their ancestral homelands. *Required Qualifications:* * Strong time management and organizational skills * Proactive with problem-solving abilities * Positive, professional demeanor * Genuine interest in arts and culture issues * Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to the team * Proficient in Google Suite * Fluent in a second language *Responsibilities:* * Translate English articles into languages such as *French*, or *Chinese* with accuracy and cultural sensitivity * Collaborate closely with the Chief Editor to ensure the integrity and quality of translated content * Conduct research when necessary to maintain accuracy and context in translations * Meet project deadlines and milestones while maintaining high standards of quality * Provide linguistic support for various materials related to the Pancouver Print Edition and online initiatives Join us in breaking down language barriers and fostering intercultural understanding through the power of translation.
