Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Types of systems: Underground conduits and piping. Towers and heat exchangers. Plumbing, cold water and drain lines. Refrigeration. Ventilation and exhaust. Stacks and furnace flues. Hot water system and equipment. Air conditioning system. Area of specialization: Fire stopping and fireproofing. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods.
