Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of heavy equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Inspect heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues and perform diagnostic tests
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Use power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Assemble and test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Communicate with customers to understand their concerns and provide excellent customer service
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and schematics
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
