SOCIAL DEVELOPMENTADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (Administrative Services - Level 3)OPEN COMPETITIONCENTRAL ZONEThe Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the Administrative Services Team as an Administrative Support in the Fredericton office of the Central Zone.As a member of the Administrative Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a variety of administrative support services to the general public and all levels of staff within the office. Responsibilities include providing general information, responding to a wide range of routine and complex telephone inquiries and/or walk-in clients, evaluating inquiries, and directing clients and/or the general public to the appropriate employee or resource. Work will also include: filing, photocopying, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, receiving payments, performing data entry, preparation of legal and other correspondence, word processing, and maintaining a supplies inventory. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Other duties may be assigned as required.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED supplemented by successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma in Secretarial or Office Administration or other completed post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years related administrative work experience. OR High School Diploma supplemented by completion of at least a two (2) year related post-secondary program and a minimum of two (2) years related administrative work experience. OR High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years related administrative work experience. Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
