VINTA POSTING2024-2025Job Posting #10Applications are invited from teachers with BC Certification for the following teaching position: Eagle View Elementary School, Port Hardy, BC 1.0 FTE Continuing - Library, ELL, and Prep Coverage Commencing: September 1, 2024 The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: primary and intermediate classroom experience; ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices; university coursework and experience in assessing and working with learners in ELL programs; academic training, qualifications, and recent successful experience as a teacher librarian; experience developing and implementing student individual education plans; ability to modify and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs; ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented approach to teaching; strong classroom management skills; the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups; strong formative assessment practices; ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning; experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems; and strong interest in innovation and inquiry.The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $62,493 to $109,240, with placement in the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
