We are looking for a full-time *Production Assistant _(Monday to Friday - 7am to 3:30pm, 40 hours/week)_* to join our *Production* team *on-site* in our Calgary facility. *_NOTE - Only applicants who are currently eligible to work in Canada and reside in the Calgary area will be considered for this opportunity._* **THE ROLE** - Reporting to the Acting Production Manager, Assists in compounding, packaging, labelling, weighing, filling, capping and stacking of products following established manufacturing quality processes - Adheres to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and AVL/Solvet work instructions - Completes all required paperwork including logbooks, work orders and other required documentation - Follows all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook - Follows all safety procedures, and assist in maintaining a safe workspace - Maintains a clean and safe working area - Maintains cGMP standards and follows work instructions and operating procedures set out by the company - Other related duties as required **IDEAL FIT** Education & Experience - A minimum High School diploma or equivalent - Minimum B1 intermediate English language level (_Cambridge Preliminary (PET), BEC Preliminary, BULATS score 40-59, CLB/CELPIP 5, CAEL 50, IELTS level 4, English TOEFL score 57-86_) Skills and Attributes - Great interpersonal and communication skills (intermediate level of English required) - Reliable, punctual and thrives working independently but also collaboratively as part of the broader team - Able to follow instructions and meet daily/weekly/monthly objectives, while working safely and efficiently - Strong focus on attention to detail with the goal to minimizing product waste - Able to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment - Consistently demonstrates initiative and willingness to go above and beyond - Able to remain calm under pressure - *Must be physically fit as the incumbent will be required to lift up to 50 lbs/23 kgs on a repetitive basis, and stand for long periods of time* - Required: great work references, clear police background check, medical clearance Working Conditions - Indoor work environment that may have odours, be dusty, or be noisy - Must be physically able to bend and stretch, lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs), and stand or walk for extended periods of time - Good vision and hearing skills are essential in a safety sensitive working environment - Required to dress in cGMP standard and wear provided PPE at all times as you are working with hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment **WHAT?S IN IT FOR YOU** At AVL, we are committed to keeping our team healthy and motivated, so they can do the best work of their lives.
