Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property. Schedule events, programs and activities. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Tender and administer contracts. Read blueprints and drawings. Repair and maintain equipment. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. 5-10 people. Working groups. Contractors. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification. Provincial licence/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides and pesticides. Equipment and machinery experience: Backhoe. Chain saw. Front end loader. Pick-up truck. Small engine equipment. Sod cutter. Tractor. Skidsteer. Area of specialization: Design. Landscape construction. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation.
