Eagle Press, a leading North American Press Builder with manufacturing plant in Windsor (Canada) & Service base in Portland Tennessee (USA) catering to sheet metal requirements of Automotive and Appliances industry (www.eaglepresses.com). Reporting to the President of the Company, Responsible for all human resources activities for the company. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation.
*Responsibilities Summary:* Responsible for all human resources activities including (among others) employment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training and development.
· Manage employee relations including acting as a liaison between employees and management.
· Assist in maintaining company compensation structure, job documentation and job evaluation systems.
· Interview job applicants, review applications/resumes, review applicant skills, and make recommendations regarding applicants? qualifications.
· Design and conduct new employee on-boarding program.
· Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation.
· Coordinate the resolution on specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
· Maintaining human resources data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
· Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
· Investigating human resource related problems and making recommendations to management (e.g., training & development)
· Primary liaison with the Ministry of Labour
· Continuous improvement of training programs for employees and management.
· Manage and organize all confidential personnel files & documents
· Maintenance of all HR related forms and reports
· Maintenance of current and future job descriptions for all active positions
· Assist in maintenance of company benefits plan
· Backup support for payroll processing
· Continuous improvement of health and safety policies and procedures
· Other general human resources related tasks, as required
· Payroll support ? Canadian and USA
*Educational Requirements:*
* · Bachelor?s degree or College Diploma from an accredited University or College in a field related to personnel management, such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce, or psychology; or
* College diploma in Human Resources Management or some other related administrative field
*Skills & Knowledge Requirements:*
* Knowledge of key principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and policy and procedure writing and developmentKnowledge and understanding of industrial Health & Safety
* Ability to effectively communicate with Executive, management, supervisors and workers,
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques
* Knowledge of Federal and Provincial laws and legislation related to business operations
* Working knowledge of all Ministry of Labour regulations
* Computer knowledge required for the following programs:
· _Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)_
· _Adobe Acrobat_
· _Internet Explorer_
· Other computer programs used:
· Visual Manufacturing
· ADP Workforce Now - USA
· ADP Workforce Now - Canada
· Ability to work independently within specific timelines to meet reporting goals
* Ability to read and write English
*Working Conditions:*
* 40-50 hours per week;
