DEPARTMENT: Oncology - AdministrationANTICIPATED START DATE: 30 Jun 2024BARGAINING UNIT: Management and Non-BargainingJOB TYPE: Permanent full-timeLANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken EnglishNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Corporate Director of Oncology Services, the incumbent will assist in the management of all activities related to the Oncology Services departments. As part of their mandate, the incumbent will participate in the planning and organization of the care and services offered, the management of human resources, finances and equipment, staff training, quality and risk management, and will support training and research. The incumbent may be delegated different mandates depending on operational needs, such as responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining a standard process, and may be called upon to manage staff who physically work in other zones in satellite sites. The duties of the position will involve travel within the Network's territory to support colleagues in other zones.REQUIREMENTS: Graduate certificate or higher (diploma or master's) in health services management a definite asset; Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position; 8 to 10 years' experience in the health field; Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills; Proven knowledge and experience in complex oncology care (oncology department) and experience in developing and implementing processes; A combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;Strategic-thinking skills and innovative and collaborative management style; Ability to function with ease in a changing environment and strong aptitude forimplementing change management strategies;Proven transformational leadership ability;Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;Ability to manage numerous projects and tasks at the same time;Understanding of the organization's needs and priorities;Analytical, writing and synthesis skills;Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;Availability to travel within the Network's territory; Ability to work independently and as part of a team;Ability to motivate and engage people and to act as a change agent;Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills; Ability to work independently and as a team member; Physical ability to perform assigned duties; Good previous work history (performance and attendance); Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values; Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.NOTES:Position to be reviewed by the Part III Classification Committee.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
