As a key contributor to the Village?s successes, the Manager of Finance will thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, and progressive work environment. This position is responsible for the management of the Finance Department and provides support to the Director of Corporate Services in achieving the Village?s financial objectives.Responsibilities:The Manager of Finance plays a key role in the on-time delivery of various financial services, including general ledger analysis and reporting, cash management, financial planning and reporting, year-end financial activities, and preparing financial statements and grant claims. In addition, responsibilities include management of the Finance team staff and oversight of the accounts receivable including property taxes and utility billings, accounts payable, procurement and payroll activities.Job requirements:The ideal candidate possesses:University Degree in Business Administration, or related discipline; Professional Accounting Designation (CPA); Five (5) years of recent related experience, in strategic financial planning, reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting; Three (3) years of recent experience in a management role in a unionized environment. Preference will be given to candidates with local government experience.
