Reporting to both the Field Engineering Manager at EfficiencyOne and an organizational lead, the Energy Manager will provide technical support related to energy management at DND facilities in HRM as well as work with third-party engineering firms, and contractors to direct energy management activities within the organization. In doing so the Energy Manager will need to work effectively with many stakeholders such as contractors, consultants, and staff. The Energy Manager will be accountable for contributing to Net Zero Planning and assisting with the implementation of energy projects & large Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs). Furthermore, the Energy Manager will support business case development for projects and packages of projects for buildings, as well as evaluate outside funding opportunities for energy efficiency projects.Responsible for working closely with the Building Operation and Maintenance team to meet the objectives of the Net-Zero Roadmap.Responsible for contributing to energy projects and policy planning and assisting with the implementation of energy projects as well as identifying recommissioning opportunities in a portfolio of existing buildings.Responsible for involvement in Energy Management activities on both a technical and organizational level for the assigned client.Involved in Project management activities; (budget reviews, work orders, communications, meetings, etc.).Responsible for utilizing building automation system and energy management information system to track energy
