KidSport Edmonton (KSE) is a local non-profit that runs a fee assistance program - KidSport?s ?So ALL Kids Can Play!? Grant Program, subsidizing sport registration fees for kids who come from families that face financial hardship.
*Role Overview *
You will serve as an essential member on KSE?s Team through managing competing responsibilities connected to internal and external sides of the organization in addition to managing staff while implementing strategic initiatives.
*Accountability, Reporting & Evaluation*
* This position is accountable to - and on a weekly basis - reports directly to the Executive Director
* This position is evaluated by the Executive Director on an annual basis
*Responsibilities - *Staff & Program Management
* Oversee day-to-day operations by managing the efforts of staff, University students and/or volunteers under your supervision, ensuring deliverables connected to KidSport?s ?So ALL Kids Can Play!? Grant Program are carried out efficiently and effectively
* Be an approachable resource, provide coaching to staff, University students and/or volunteers
* Identify, monitor, and analyze performance metrics to implement the identified areas of improvement with KidSport?s Grant Program and the organization in general
* Report information from the staff, University students and/or volunteers under your supervision to the Executive Director
* Adhoc work with other Managers to ensure organizational efficiency
* Adhoc support staff, University students and/or volunteers under your supervision with tasks to help reduce their workload
*Responsibilities* - Revenue & Reporting Management
* Maintain donor database including but not limited to uploading data to platforms and ensuring data is organized in a systematic manner
* Manage various donor stewardship plans and ensure deliverables are met
* Manage bi-annual Casino i.e., file/report all casino documents with AGLC, etc.
* Increase grant/foundation revenue through identifying and applying for and tracking deliverables connected to grants and monitor application and deliverable timelines
*Responsibilities* - General Organizational Management
* Manage increasing segments of operational requirements
* Attend monthly Board meetings & annual strategic planning session as minute taker
* Track and report on the progress of the annual strategic and operational plan?s implementation
* Ensure appropriate technology systems and controls are implemented throughout the organization
* Identify best practices and improve systems, keeping future needs and budget realities in mind
* As required, develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operations
* Professionally represent KSE in all outward facing roles incl. events, workshops, conferences, etc.
* Support Executive Director adhoc with hiring and training new employees
* Support Executive Director adhoc on leadership pieces i.e., HR & organizational planning
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum: Bachelor?s degree with 5 to 10 years of experience in senior organizational management
* Preferred: Experience with DonorPerfect, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365, and Google
* An Asset: Six Sigma Certificate
*General Qualifications: *
* Analytical thinker that is a decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to the Team what the key objectives and tactics are to achieve organizational goals
* Strategic thinker that has the ability to anticipate future needs, incorporate current trends while understanding system change consequences, with the capacity to then incorporate improvements/modifications into the organizational plan in an everchanging environment
* Relationship builder with interpersonal skills, who values collaboration and has the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence" with all groups including staff, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other stakeholders, with the goal to efficiently implement program strategies.
* Exceptionally strong project management skills, or
