NLHealthServices.ca Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Director, Provincial Integrated Protection Services, the Provincial Manager, Health Emergency & Continuity Management will be accountable for the direction, management, coordination, and oversight of All-Hazards based Emergency Planning and Continuity Management services throughout NL Health Services.The Provincial Manager will lead, develop, coordinate and manage the Provincial Integrated Protection Services Emergency/Continuity Management program and team throughout NL Health Services. Through appropriate planning mechanisms, the Provincial Manager will be accountable for the Emergency/Continuity Management budget, and will be the lead resource in all Emergency/Continuity Management related planning and response initiatives, as well as any related contract preparation, negotiation, development, and management.The Provincial Manager will provide organizational strategic and operational direction on Fire/Life Safety related legislation, policy, code, and procedures relating to the development and delivery of risk mitigation, contingency plans, Code Red drills, and exercises. The Provincial Manager will also maintain a state of readiness, identify gaps, and deliver Emergency/Continuity Management related recommendations on issues related to environments that contain elements of danger to life. The Provincial Manager will direct corrective measures to mitigate risk to internal and external stakeholders, develop and manage the Integrated Protection Services Emergency Operations Centre program, and will lead/supervise the Integrated Protection Services staff located throughout NL Health Services. The Provincial Manager will collaborate and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and will develop policies and procedures on behalf of the NL Health Services. The Provincial manager will also align with NL Health Services' Public Health program to coordinate planning and response initiatives from an all-hazards perspective and develop and maintain appropriate protocols to support collaboration. Job Qualifications EducationA bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred. Certified training in Disaster and Emergency Management is an asset. Experience Minimum of five years of experience within the last seven working in an Emergency Management role responsible for coordinating and leading health emergency and continuity management services in a healthcare organization is required.Experience working in an Emergency Operations Centre using Incident Command principles is required.Recent Emergency Exercise development and delivery experience is required.Experience in delivering adult education programming, including the development of education material for broad audiences is an asset.
