We are seeking *Industrial Mechanic *for one of our clients in *St. Catherines, ON* Job Duties: * Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of equipment, and machinery to meet the stringent production standards vital to support a busy production schedule. * Capable of evaluating and repairing equipment to minimize lost production time in the entire facility. * Ensure safe practices prior to working on any equipment to prevent harm to him/herself and to others. * Prepare and maintain Weekly, Monthly PM sheets of the multiple equipments. * Responsible for maintaining the conveyor system using the basic techniques. * Enhance reliability of operation of systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and troubleshooting technical aspects of the plant?s equipment * Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs during production * Install, maintain, dismantle, and overhaul machinery, such as mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, pulleys, mechanical clutches, gear boxes, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Knowledge of Mig Welding for small internal jobs. * Tig Welding is an assist. * Actively participates in problem-solving activities related to operation of equipment in the facility on both a preventive and reactive basis. * Prepare mechanical maintenance reports. * Develop a parts list of all routine items needed for regular maintenance to be purchased. * Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and cost savings. * Conferring with supervisors and operators in order to report equipment malfunctions and resolve production problems. *Requirements* Ability to organize and execute directions in a fast-paced dynamic environment. * Knowledge of conveyor system. * Prepare written materials that are accurate, clear, logical, and well organized. * Self-direction in learning, setting goals, prioritizing, analyzing, implementing, and adjusting to organize, manage, complete multiple tasks. * Identify alternatives and solve routine problems, analyze, apply appropriate solutions, and explain the processes to others. * Strong interpersonal skills, professional and positive attitude. *Experience Required* Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic. *Other Requirements* * List any physical demands associated with the position: * Standing, moving, bending and lifting for 8 hours / day * Able to lift up to 55 lbs. * Ability to work in excess of 8 hours / day *Pay Rate: *$32-36/Hr Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationSt. Catharines, ON
