TEACHER <p> Position: <p> Grade 7/8 Academic Generalist (Alternate Education) <p> Posting Number: <p> 24-069 <p> Term of Employment: <p> September 03, 2024 to June 30, 2025 <p> FTE: <p> 1.0 FTE <p> Salary Range: <p> $58,267 and $106,217 <p> Deadline to Apply: <p> 3 p.m., May 30, 2024 Join Our Team School District 72 is looking for a Grade 7/8 Academic Generalist (Alternate Education) to join our team of educators who strive to bring the districts learning beliefs to life.<p> School District 72 (Campbell River) is located on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, extending north to Sayward and south to Oyster River. The district also includes the outer islands of Read, Cortes, and Quadra. The district serves over 5,600 students in 18 schools with a diverse range of programs that are progressive and responsive to the educational needs and interests of students. The district respects and values the relationships with all First Nations, Mtis, and Inuit peoples who reside in these territories. Bring your Expertise <p> Relevant university qualifications;<p> Relevant knowledge of, and experience in, the Alternate Education classroom;<p> Teaching through a lens of Social & Emotional Learning (SEL);<p> Ability to adapt and apply differentiated instructional strategies to develop personalized learning experiences; <p> A commitment to integrating the First Peoples Principles of Learning into daily practice;<p> A comprehensive understanding of current educational practices outlined in the BC Ministry of Education documents;<p> Committed to the craft of teaching, best practices, and standards of professional practice;<p> Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, communicative, and problem-solving skills;<p> Flexible and adaptive; and,<p> A commitment to professional development and growth.
