*This Opportunity:*
Perform detailed accounting activities for the Community Support Services (1CSS) program, including account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and year-end close, review of accounts receivable transactions, financial analysis, and transaction investigation and adjustments.
*Roles and responsibilities:*
* Develop and maintain monthly journal entries.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and generate correction entries as necessary.
Investigate and analyse discrepancies, identify root cause and create adjustment entries
by applying accounting standards, MODC and funder policies; communicate the results
or action plan with program.
* Analyze monthly variances between budget/forecast and actual financial results; provide accurate, complete and timely month end narrative analysis to Financial Services Manager for review.
* Prepare financial and statistical data for Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) Trial Balance submission and SRI reports on quarterly basis and ARR reports.
* Fulfil other external reporting requests as required.
* Assist with CSS budget and forecast process from data preparation, collection to data validation.
* Maintain financial and statistical data master sheet as per information from Multi-Sector Accountability Agreements.
* Provide ongoing support to CSS program staff with regards to inquiries such as transaction correction, Visa and other investigation and related accounting treatment.
* Communicate concerns/issues raised by programs with relevant parties and provide updates to program in timely fashion.
* Organize, maintain, follow and communicate policies, procedures, processes and guidelines to meet the program?s needs in accordance with organizational standards.
