<p>Position Description <p>School District No. 60 (Peace River North) is accepting applications<p>for an anticipated temporary full time (1.0) Elementary Teacher for the 2024-25 <p>school year. This position will be assigned to either a Primary or<p>Intermediate position depending on enrollment. If an Elementary<p>position does not become available, the successful candidate will be<p>employed as a temporary full time (1.0) District Teacher Teaching On<p>Call. <p>Process for assignment placement: <p>If an Elementary<p>position does become available it will be posted for seven (7) calendar<p>days. If, after the seven days, there are no internal applicants, the<p>successful candidate of this position (Job Code 3404669) will be assigned to the vacancy.<p>About DTTOC: <p>The assignment will be<p>dispatched from the Board Office. All DTTOC's are assigned a default<p>school to which they will work at on the rare days in which they are not<p>dispatched to a specific placement.<p>DTTOC's are required<p>to go to any and all placements in which they are dispatched, as such<p>DTTOC's must have access to reliable transportation.<p>This position includes<p>a variety of TTOC coverage, which can include long-term placements. For<p>longer term placements, the TTOC may be responsible for lesson<p>preparation, assessment, and reporting of student learningQualifications and Experience Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)<p> Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach the identified subjects at the middle years level<p> Experience with universal design and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students<p> Excellent interpersonal, communications, collaboration and organization skills<p> Experience/training/knowledge of Social Emotional Learning.<p> Demonstrated ability to create a positive classroom community<p> contributing to a safe, caring, and healthy school where every student<p> feels a sense of belonging<p> Strong belief in the philosophy of inclusion and the potential of all students to learn<p> Understanding of the BC Curriculum and ability to plan both short-term and long-term in consideration of class composition<p> Willingness to work in a collaborative model with staff on the foundation of enhancing student learning<p> Demonstrated use of classroom management practices that are pro-active and maintain student dignity<p> Demonstrated use of assessment practices that promote student learning and maintain student dignity <p>Interested applicants are required to supply <p> Three (3) references <p> Verification of qualifications (BC Teacher Certificate) <p>Compensation <p> $2000 relocation allowance for teachers from BC, AB and Yukon and up to $4000 for teachers from other areas. <p> $2,947 recruitment allowance (paid over 10 months of the school year, based on the FTE) <p> Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $63,492 - $108,576 <p> Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in medical, dental, extended health, and group life insurance.
