Responsibilities
Tasks
-
Interview clients, prepare case histories and assess problems

Prepare a treatment plan for each patient
-
Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatment

Provide therapy
-
Counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment

Implement treatment plans

Perform administrative tasks

Analyze the patient during the treatments

Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes

Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining goals and means of attaining them

Maintain accurate records

Administer standard psychological tests for assessment

Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up and court reports
