Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Urban area. General office. Ship building and shipping. Tasks: Consult with clients to determine project needs. Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets. Provide detailed information and guidance to clients on project analysis and design. Review engineering projects to approve or recommend changes . Establish and implement policies and procedures for engineering work. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Authorize the development of specifications for products or services. Evaluate technical designs and engineering work. Oversee the analysis of data and information. Oversee the preparation of reports. Advise senior management. Develop risk management plans. Leading/instructing groups. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers. Identify different programs that will benefit the ultimate goal of the company. Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
