Scovan is looking for a Crane Operator Journeyman to join our team in Ponoka immediately! The Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment within our fabrication yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and possess excellent spatial awareness. This position offers stable, full-time hours with an opportunity to grow and learn from our hard-working team!
*Responsibilities:*
* Operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment according to project specifications.
* Ensure all lifts are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to established safety guidelines and procedures.
* Conduct pre-operational checks on cranes and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel to coordinate lifts and ensure smooth operations.
*Requirements:*
* Valid crane operator certification/license required.
* Valid CSTS 2020, Fall Arrest, Arial Work Platform tickets.
* Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging techniques, and load capacities.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Physical strength and stamina to perform duties associated with crane operation.
*Details:*
* Typical week is 40-50 hours. 10-hour shifts Monday ? Friday.
* Shifts may vary based on workload requirements.
* All work is completed in our industrial module yard in Ponoka, Alberta. No need to travel.

Pay: $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
