We are a very busy salon in Waterloo with a loyal and constantly growing customer base. We?ve been serving the community for the past 11 years working carefully and always with the dog?s comfort in mind. We do not overbook appointments. We work one-on-one with each dog and we take our time to create a pampering experience for all the dogs who come to us! We are looking for a Full Time Pet Groomer with a minimum of 1 year experience to join us. We work Tuesday to Friday and half days on Saturday, long weekends excluded. Our ideal candidate: - Works with care and compassion, ensuring the dogs? comfort throughout the grooming process - Has the ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with their safety and well-being in mind - Maintains a clean and safe workspace - Can assess the condition of the dogs? coats, skin and overall general health and then provide appropriate grooming treatments - Monitors and then reports any health concerns observed during grooming - Has knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming needs - Is proficient in various grooming techniques including bathing, brushing, de-matting, drying and styling - Provides good customer service and has communication skills to interact effectively with owners - Works well with our team, is reliable and has a sense of humor This right candidate is expected to groom a minimum of 4 dogs per day striving for quality grooms with the utmost gentle handling skills and has your own tools in good working order. These include but not limited to clippers, scissors, brushes, combs, etc. and Compensation is commission based with a split comparable to surrounding grooming salons and a built-in volume incentive, plus your tips earned.
