Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Administrator(Casual / Vacation Coverage)qathet Regional District (qRD) is seeking applications from experienced individuals interested in joining our Finance team as a Casual Finance Clerk. Applicants will provide support for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and various other financial projects. Applicants must be available to work up to 4 days per week between July and September 2024. Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Financial Services, this is a unionized position that supports a range of financial services including: Financial Services reception, administrative & clerical support, accounts receivable, utility administration, and support services related to accounts payable. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Applicants must also have relevant post-secondary education, including completion of Introductory Financial Accounting, as well as a minimum of three years? of work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Applicants must have strong communication, organization and customer service skills. Proficiency in cash management, records management, and Microsoft Office applications is required.Applicants must be able to write formulas, manipulate, and analyze data using Microsoft Excel. Depending on organizational need, Casuals may hold various roles. The wage rates for these roles varies from Clerk $31.60/ Clerical Assistant $25.55/ Accounts Receivable$31.60/ Accounts Payable $34.11. The casual role is unionized position, and subject to CUPE Local 798 Collective Agreement. While hours of work can vary seasonally, as well as week to week, candidates can often anticipate working a 35 hour week.Availability is required Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and evenings and weekends may be required on rare occasions.
