Woolwich Counselling Centre is a not for profit, community-based counselling agency facilitating emotional and mental wellness in the Townships of Woolwich and Wellesley and beyond. We create awareness, provide education, and promote preventative wellbeing strategies for individuals, families and communities. In partnership with other community agencies, we act as a catalyst for healthy living.

*Counsellor*
*(Up to 24hrs/week, Part-time, Mon-Fri, min one evening/week required)*
Overall responsibility is to provide a high standard of professional counselling services to adult couples who experience emotional difficulties, life or relationship challenges, or mental health concerns. This position also serves as a resource to the larger community by offering expertise and education through workshops and groups when necessary.
*Qualifications Include:*
* Master?s Degree in counselling program (MSW preferred) from a university of recognized standing
* Registration and in good standing with appropriate college and credentialing body.
* Minimum of three years of counselling experience with strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
* Proven ability to intervene competently with a range of presenting concerns incorporating a broad set of strategies and interventions from recognized theory bases
* Understanding of, and adherence to, scope of practice guidelines as per education and training
* Desire to creatively develop and lead groups, programs and workshops in collaboration with other team members.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively establish therapeutic relationships with clients and work together with team members
* Strong ability to connect and collaborate with community partners and referral sources
* Motivated to pursue professional development opportunities to enhance professional skills.
* Preference for candidates with specialization and past experience working with a broad range of adult couples
* Knowledge of data base programs and electronic recordkeeping; possessing strong computer skills and exemplary written and oral communication
