Singleton Education Centre<p>Work Schedule:35 hours/week, 12 months/year<p>Effective Date:As Soon As Possible (2 positions available) <p>Position Summary:<p>Reporting to the SIS Supervisor, the SIS Analyst position is responsible for the day to day operational and functional support to school staff for all applications and interfaces within the Student Information System, as well as related parent tools for home notification and reporting of student attendance. This position is responsible for all processes related to data collection, validation, verification, and reporting to the Ministry of Education through the OnSIS submission process, as well as reporting to other external agencies. In addition, this position provides ongoing training to all types of school end users and creates and maintains a library of technical documentation to support continued learning. <p>The HDSB recently introduced a Work from Home Administrative Procedure. In accordance with this Administrative Procedure and with the approval of the immediate supervisor, employees who work at HDSB administrative sites may work from home for up to 50% of their regularly scheduled hours. Work from Home arrangements may change based on the future needs of the Board. The HDSB offers funding for professional development in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for management and administration support staff. Key Responsibilities: Administers and provides specialized support for all applications and interfaces within the Student Information System as well as related parent tools for home notification and reporting of student attendance, to school staff (admin and teachers) to support data to day operations.<p> Reviews, analyses, and validates all SIS data for data integrity in order to report to the Ministry of Education and other external sources to ensure compliance and funding.<p> Performs business analysis and quality assurance of all applications and interfaces within the Student Information system product suite, as well as related parent tools for home notification and reporting of student attendance to maintain Ministry compliance, support system operations, and implement new functionality.<p> Provides technical training and workshops to school based staff to support alignment of functionality with business practices and data management.Qualifications: College Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.<p> Three (3) years of experience in a school board environment and familiarity with school processes throughout a school year.<p> Three (3) years of experience supporting the Student Information System at a central level is preferred.<p> Three (3) years of experience supporting the Ministry of Education OnSIS collections is preferred.<p> Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite Application.<p> Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.<p> Excellent customer service skills.<p> Strong problem solving skills.<p> Highly motivated and able to multitask effectively.Applications, along with your resume and other supporting documents must be submitted through Apply to Education www.applytoeducation.com by 4:00 pm on Friday June 28, 2024 <p>Job Category: MASS (Management & Professionals) - Job Code # 3778440We thank all applicants for their interest in opportunities with the Halton District School Board.
