The Glencoe Golf & Country Club is seeking a Seasonal Full-Time Pastry Chef to join our Kitchen team for the 2024 Golf Season. The Pastry Chef is part of the Supervisor Team of the Club, and oversees the baking of pastries and desserts for our la carte outlets, as well pastries for confectionary displays, scheduled events and special requests of The Glencoe Golf and Country Club. As the Pastry Chef, you will liaise with the Executive Chef and other Chefs to design seasonal menus and will assist in the creation and development of new menus and feature items. As the Pastry Chef you will deliver exceptional experiences in all that we do and will constantly aspire to create a second home environment for our members, guests and employees.
*Responsibilities:*
* Ensure service excellence in the execution and preparation of breads, buns, pastries and desserts for all our outlets
* Actively participate with the Executive Chef and other chefs in menu creation, design, implementation and execution
* Effectively address concerns brought up by supervisors for the Kitchen team
* Actively contribute to department teamwork and collaboration of new items
* Assist in food prep assignments and other duties as needed
* Ensures compliance with all Glencoe Health and Safety standards and the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations
* Attend Kitchen meetings and training sessions
*Qualifications:*
* A minimum of 2-year experience working in a similar position is required
* Red Seal certification is considered an asset
* Must have a positive attitude
* Proven track record of excellent member service
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification is considered an asset
* *Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to our location*

*Additional Details:*
This is a full time seasonal position that reports to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
