Nunavut schools are currently focused on improving literacy outcomes for all students and ensuring students? learning experiences are culturally relevant and respectful.<p>Located in the picturesque hamlet of Cambridge Bay, Kiilinik High School serves the community of Cambridge Bay. The school has a population of approximately 220 students in a 7-12 setting with a staff of 29. The school and community are steeped in a rich history of Inuit culture.<p>Required qualifications: <p><p> <p> Bachelor of Education degree (Special Education Certificate/degree or equivalent courses)<p> Teaching certification acceptable for Nunavut teaching certificate<p> A minimum of three years teaching experience<p> Experience supervising staff (student support assistants) in programs supporting profound needs<p> Experience developing and implementing individual student support and behaviour plans in cooperation with classroom teachers <p> Language Component: Fluent in English and knowledge of Inuinnaqtun an asset <p> <p><p>Desired qualifications: <p><p> Minimum of three years in the role of Special education/student support teacher<p> Experience in collaborative support to students in the effective implementation of formative assessment and differentiated instruction<p> Positive school environment approaches to classroom management (eg.
