Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Industrial technology/technician. Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician. Engineering/industrial management. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs. Inspect processes. Design plant layouts and production facilities. Conduct work measurement or other studies. Develop and carry out health, safety and fire prevention plans. Conduct safety training programs. Develop computer applications for machines and processes. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Collect and analyze data and samples. Develop manufacturing and processing procedures. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Read blueprints and drawings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification by a provincial or territorial association. International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000, 9001 quality management certified. Computer and technology knowledge: Networking software. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Project management software. Computer-aided design (CAD). MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. MS Windows. Lean Six Sigma. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Area of specialization: Development of production processes. Development of facilities and systems. Development of quality assurance programs. Work planning, estimating, measuring and scheduling.
