Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required. Keep maintenance reports and documentation. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Perform repair work on heavy trucks. Perform other routine maintenance. Drilling equipment: Jumbo drill. Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Hydraulic transmissions. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Personal suitability: Accurate.
