Education: College/CEGEP. Electrical and electronic engineering technologies/technicians, other. Work site environment: At heights. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Office. On-site customer service. Various locations. Tasks: Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Write specifications. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Conduct safety training programs. Assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Type of service and repair: Distributed control system (DCS). Computer and technology knowledge: Programmable logic controller (PLC). Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Electronic testing equipment and systems. Industrial processes. Type of industry experience: Energy. Oil and Gas Well Sites.
