Syos:ys letse thale, letsemot one heart, one mind, working together for a common purpose.About the Position <p>The Chilliwack School District is seeking a dedicated and strategic Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the District Principal of Student Services, the Community Outreach Coordinator will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and managing programs aimed at supporting students at risk of gang and organized crime activity. This role involves collaboration with school-based teams, community partners, and law enforcement to create a comprehensive support network for at-risk youth.Core responsibilities include: Strategy Development and Implementation: Research, develop, and implement a comprehensive community outreach strategy, including programs, services, and staff training.<p> Program Management: Oversee the execution of the outreach strategy, manage partnerships, handle grant applications, and ensure effective reporting.<p> Crisis Management and Support: Implement and manage referral processes, provide immediate support for at-risk youth, including home visits and crisis intervention.<p> Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with Safe Schools team, RCMP, and other community partners to monitor trends, share best practices, and enhance outreach efforts.<p> Reporting and Evaluation: Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the School District and Ministry of Education and Childcare on program effectiveness and outcomes. <p>Salary Range: $85,534 to $106,918, commensurate with experience and SD33 compensation guidelinesQualifications Bachelors degree in social work, counselling, criminology, or related field.<p> Minimum 3 years of recent and progressive experience leading programs for at-risk youth.<p> Training and experience in trauma-informed practice and crisis management.<p> Strong skills in program administration, stakeholder collaboration, and public speaking.<p> Experience in managing relationships with diverse groups, including Indigenous communities.<p> Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic visual design tools (e.g., Canva).<p> Proficiency in data analysis, program evaluation, and grant writing.<p> Knowledge of legal and ethical standards in youth work, including confidentiality and mandatory reporting.<p> Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.<p> Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.<p> Experience in public education or a similar sector is an asset. <p>How to Apply <p>If you are ready to make a meaningful impact on our community and support at-risk youth, we encourage you to submit your application today.
