At Richardson, we are committed to enhancing our facilities and services and investing in our people and our communities.  Richardson operates port terminals from coast to coast across Canada and exports Canadian-grown grains and oilseeds to end-use markets in over 50 countries around the globe. We currently have an opportunity for an Electrician at our Richardson Port Terminal located in North Vancouver, BC.  This is an opportunity to work at one of the most successful grain handling facilities in the world, which exports canola and cereal grains to countries along the Pacific Rim.  Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Tradesman - Electrician will provide journeyman level skill for the repair and maintenance of plant equipment in a heavy industrial environment. Responsibilities:Installs, modifies, repairs and maintains electrical circuits, devices and equipmentTroubleshoots and diagnoses electrical and control equipmentParticipates in training related to this positionOperates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practicesProvides assistance to other Maintenance team membersResponds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis Qualifications:RequirementsElectrician ticket with Red SealJourneyman Electrician Certificate or Inter-provincial certification under the Red Seal ProgramMinimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician in a heavy industrial environmentStrong skills in reading and interpretation of electrical schematics/logic drawingsKnowledge of automated systems and suppliersMust be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs without assistanceDemonstrated organizational skills and personal initiativeStrong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skillsProficient computer skills eg.
