*Overview*
We are currently looking for a hard working and highly motivated individual with a well-rounded skill set to join our team. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that our products are manufactured to the highest standards. In addition to supporting manufacturing efforts, you will maintain a clean and organized workspace and demonstrate a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies. You will work closely with team members to fabricate water pumping units, piping / hose systems, plastic, fiberglass and metal parts using a variety of manufacturing tools such as:
* Metal cutting and forming tools (saws, shears, iron worker, press brake? etc.)
* Welding equipment (Mig, Tig & stick for Steel, Aluminum, Stainless, etc.)
* Machining tools (Manual and CNC)
* Hand fabricating tools
*Duties*
* Manufacture of metal pump frames and enclosures.
* Manufacture piping and hose systems.
* Manufacturing camera housings and sensor mounts.
* Setup and installation of pumps, piping and mechanical systems.
* Manufacture of complex fiberglass components.
* Fiberglass mold creation and maintenance.
* Preparation for and application of fiberglass resin and other materials (paint, gel coat, epoxy).
* Use hand tools including angle grinders, die grinders, bandsaws, jig saws, drills, etc.
* General shop cleaning and maintenance.
*Qualifications*
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Welding certification is an asset.
* Diploma in Machining, Mechanical Technician, or related field is an asset.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Demonstrated experience as a metal fabricator.
* Demonstrated experience operating machining equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
* Experience with using and understanding basic hand and power tools.
* A willingness to learn new techniques.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
*Physical Requirements*
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
