*Exciting Pre-Opening Opportunity!* Join the team at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Downtown Calgary, a select service hotel set to open in Spring 2025, managed by Triple One Properties. We are seeking a creative and driven Director of Sales and Marketing who excels at thinking outside the box and thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a brand-new hotel opening in Calgary?s vibrant downtown core. *Job Overview:* As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel's success by developing strategic sales and marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and positioning the hotel as a market leader in a pre-opening setting. The role requires an individual who is highly self-motivated and ready to embody the Hamptonality style. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Sales & Marketing Strategy:* Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and establish the hotel?s presence in the market. * *Business Development:* Identify and pursue business opportunities, focusing on the unique demands of Calgary?s downtown market. * *Client Relations & Negotiation:* Cultivate relationships with key clients, negotiate contracts, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. * *Market Research & Analysis:* Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of trends and optimize sales and marketing efforts. * *Cross-Functional Collaboration:* Work closely with marketing, revenue management, and other departments to align strategies and deliver on business objectives. * *Independent Initiative:* This role does not include direct reports, offering you the chance to independently drive all sales and marketing efforts while contributing significantly to the hotel's launch and future success. *Qualifications & Experience:* * Previous Hilton experience is highly advantageous, almost required. * Proven experience in select service hotel sales and marketing, particularly in pre-opening or new property launches desired. * Strong background in business development with a focus on the downtown market. * Familiarity with the Calgary market is an asset. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. * Ability to think creatively and strategically, innovating in a competitive landscape. * Must be eligible to work in Canada, company sponsorship not available. * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field would be an asset. *Skills Required:* * Independent Leadership & Initiative * Sales & Business Development * Marketing Strategy & Execution * Negotiation & Client Management * Market Knowledge & Competitive Analysis * Strong Communication & Customer Service Focus * Entreprenuerial spirit *Job Type:* Full-time *Work Location:* On-property downtown Calgary, AB If you are an innovative and proactive sales and marketing professional with Calgary experience and are eligible to work in Canada, we?d love to hear from you, truly we would!
