Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Optical dispensary. Optical retail store. Medical clinic. Tasks: Analyze the client's eyeglasses or contact lenses and by measuring the client's eye curvature, pupillary distance and bridge width, using optical measuring devices. Assist clients in selecting eyeglasses. Advise on use and care of contact lenses. Adjust finished eyeglasses to fit client. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure.
